Giving back to the community, and staying connected to it, is a lifestyle for Sandy Hartmann, the current Chair of the Board of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce. Sandy has been an active Board member since 2011, and believes her investment has helped her personally, and as owner of Sandy Hartmann & Associates real estate firm for more than 30 years.
Sandy’s management style emphasizes working as a team and she is quick to share credit for success with her employees. There is a mutual admiration evidenced by Sandy being chosen “Boss of the Year” for 2014. This annual award is presented by the Chamber based on nominations from employees.
“Being part of the Chamber has been an amazing way for me and my team to give back to the community, and also feel connected to it. It’s also my civic duty,” said Sandy. “Whether it’s participating in a charity golf tournament, or supporting new businesses, membership gives us a sense of belonging, and additional opportunities to meet local people, especially those who could be selling or buying a home.”
Sandy was reared in Seminole and graduated from Seminole High School. She attended St. Petersburg Junior College before joining the Air Force, whereby she became an air traffic controller and lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 12 years. Then she attended the University of Alaska, pursuing real estate studies and received her Real Estate license. She and her husband Glenn moved back to Seminole to raise their own family and business.
“It’s easy to grow something you love and Seminole is the ideal place to grow a business,” said Sandy, who is excited about the year ahead. “Pinellas County, as a whole, has seen an amazing increase in real estate in the past year, and Seminole and the surrounding beaches have outpaced that increase for the most part. My team and I are working harder than ever this year, and so far it’s really been paying off for our clients.”
Sandy said her business goal is to finish off the year with a higher sales volume while surpassing her clients highest expectations. So far, the average number of days from listing to contract for her team’s listings are 36 days, and the majority of those listings are selling at 97% of the listed price.
Sandy Hartmann & Associates recently relocated to 5666 Seminole Blvd. The beautiful new offices make it possible for further growth. Sandy and her team are Global Property Specialists and have the added distinction of being members of Keller Williams’ Luxury Homes International Group.
Sandy loves using new technology on a global platform. Technology is a big part of real estate now. “If you can’t keep up with today’s advances in technology and the way clients want to use it, someone else may take your place. Excellent customer service is proving the best tools available,” said Sandy.
Keller Williams has cutting edge real estate marketing solutions that include tools and technology to advertise their listings across the global market. There are phone Apps that allow clients to search for homes and open house events, no matter where the locations may be on the map. The Global Properties Specialist network allows Sandy to connect with over 600,000 agents worldwide and truly give her company a global platform.
Additionally, the Sandy Hartmann & Associates website, the motto of which is “The Power of Knowledge, the Gift of Caring,” currently is translated into more than 15 languages. “Being innovative and putting ourselves in our clients shoes has been an invaluable component of our success,” said Sandy.
How does Sandy spend her free time? Sandy loves to swim. She once was a mermaid at Weeki Wachee Springs and is still a master swimmer with the West Florida Masters Lightening. She is also passionate about downhill skiing and enjoys almost any outdoor sport. In addition to the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, Sandy volunteers her time to the Seminole Rotary Club, her church Women’s Council, the Pinellas Realtor Organization, and to her homeowner’s association. Sandy quietly helps many in need.
Due to Sandy’s dedication, diligence, business ethics, and hard work, she has built a team of professionals and is ranked 5 out of 6,500 realtors in Pinellas County.
