It is hard to believe that it is already March!  The year seems to be flying by, probably because we have been so busy with Seminole Chamber projects. I must say that it is a true pleasure to work with this Board of Directors. Everyone is motivated to do what needs to be done in order to enhance the Chamber’s offerings and build the business of our members.  They are certainly “Takin’ Care of Business.” 

The SAEDAC (Seminole Area Economic Development Advisory Committee), led by Paul Ziegler,  is discussing topics that will affect our local businesses with input from the City of Seminole, Pinellas County Economic Development, local businesses, government officials, and Chamber members.  This committee meets to discuss topics that can be addressed by our Economic Development Committee, led by Dan Berard.  These committees are taking the Chamber to a higher level of education and participation by discussing how actions in the City, County, and State affect our local businesses and community. 

Admittedly, I attended my first Business Connections and Education Workshop in February and am sorry that I was not involved years ago.  I learned a great deal about social networking and have shaken off some of my fears about this technology.  If you have not attended one of these workshops, please mark your calendars to attend March 10, when Pam Butler will show us how to utilize video clips on our web sites and e-mails.  I know I will find the time to attend whenever possible!

Paul Ziegler to Give Seminole Economics Update

Immediate Past President Paul Ziegler will give an economic forecast for the greater Seminole area at the Chamber's monthly "Power Luncheon" on Thursday, March 18, 11:30 a.m. at the Seminole Library Conference Center (next to US Congressman Bill Young's office).
